Fleet Capacity Agreement

“A lease agreement is a written agreement by which one party agrees to allow another party to use certain assets for a specified period of time for a fixed amount of money.” Advanced fleet management and vehicle telematics systems cover a wide range of real-time data, as well as for transport and fleet managers. By combining data received from the vehicle tracking system and the on-board computer, it is possible to create a profile for each driver (average speed, deviation frequency, pauses, severity of manoeuvres, choice of reports, etc.). This data can be used to identify drivers with dangerous habits and to propose corrective measures for problems or to ensure that drivers comply with KPIs. Fleet management applications have shown that road accidents are reduced. [5] The evaluation of changes to vehicle legislation, such as WLTP and RDE2, the determination of the purpose and adequacy of vehicles, and the negotiation of agreements with vehicle manufacturers are all related to the fleet manager. Fuel consumption, taxes and insurance costs, in addition to staff expectations, must also be taken into account when choosing fleet vehicles. Added to this is a reflection on the end of life and the value of selling vehicles and it quickly becomes clear why the role can be such a challenge. Endowments need to be filled and there are always savings. One of the most important savings for a fleet manager is probably the steady rise in fuel prices.

Fluctuations in market prices and external factors affecting prices are beyond the control of a fleet manager, but there are options to reduce fuel consumption and cost. Contractual terms may be changed, which may result from a change in the operation of the supplier or any interference with the relationship between the fleet. As part of fleet management, it is necessary to divide drivers into categories based on skills and competencies. Ongoing competency assessment, regular training and refresher courses will improve driver and vehicle performance, reduce the number of accidents and reduce maintenance costs. The location of the vehicle management function within organizational structures varies from organization to organization. Management may be within the administration, the transportation function or have an independent fleet manager. For the purposes of the Logistics Operations Guide, the manager is designated as Fleet Manager (FM). Check the details of the agreement on how supplements are treated and make sure the process is described. Find out how long the seller (not the store) guarantees repairs; most do it for the vehicle fleet.

If this is not the case in the standard agreement, make sure it is included. This aspect of vehicle management is very sensitive and often misused.
